Here For Seven Weeks A Pneumonia Victim (Anaconda Standard 1 Apr 1918 Montana) Anthony Solan, aged 24 years, died at St. Ann's hospital shortly after 8 o'clock Saturday morning, death being due to an acute attack of pneumonia. Mr. Solan was born in County Mayo, Ireland and came to America in 1915, locating in Racine, Wis. Although he had visited in Anaconda at numerous times, he did not come here to make his home until seven weeks ago. The surviving relatives are his parents, a brother and two sisters who still reside at the old home in Ireland. A brother, Thomas, lives at Opportunity and another brother, Michael, is now in the army. Michael Smith, an uncle, is one of the old-time residents of this city and there is another uncle, Pat Smith, whose present whereabouts are unknown. Anthony McGowan, a cousin, resides at Douglas Ariz. Thanks to Merril Bourne for submitting this obituary. |
