April 12, 1894 Aged 71 Yrs 4 Mos The stones above and below are the same stone taken about a year apart. The stone had deteriorated so much in a year that using chalk was the only way to even read the stone. |

This stone is in line with Henry Maguill's and there is another like it with no writing visible. (See the photo above for plot layout) This stone simply says Nora. It is difficult to tell if the other small stone is a piece of this one or another just like it that has sunk further into the ground. It may be the bottom of Nora's stone that has at some time been broken and the other end may just be turned upside down in the ground for some reason. It is loose in the soil, so it was tempting to try to lift it out to see if there is anything carved on it or if there is a broken edge that might indicate it was once a part of Nora's stone, but somehow I just couldn't bring myself to go that far. The stones seem to be placed far enough apart to make them two seperate graves, and it is my opinion that this unmarked stone belongs to Nora's sister, Mary E. Solon who died 12 Oct 1906. I think there is a very good possibility that their mother Sarah McGill Solon is also buried here, but has no marker. Henry Maguill is believed to be her father. |
