This is a listing of the burials in all the cemeteries in Delaware County with the exception of Beech Grove, Garden of Memory and Elm Ridge. I gathered all the information on these cemeteries from what the Delaware County Historical Alliance had on file in their many different booklets. Most of the information was obtained from actual readings of the tombstones in the cemeteries prior to 1970's. Some information was obtained from various other sources.
For
information on the three Cemeteries not listed you may contact them at these addresses:
Beech
Grove Cemetery, 1400 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47305, (765) 741-1352.
Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN
47303, (765) 289-0656
Elm Ridge Cemetery, 4600 W. Kilgore, Muncie, IN 47304, (765) 288-5061
The information in each line will be: Name, birth date(if given), death date, any inscriptions noted on tombstone or other sources and the last four CAPITAL letters is the Code to the cemetery.

Damon Floyd's Delaware County, IN Cemetery Index was too important a resource to have it fall off the internet. When I searched and could no longer find it, I used the Internet Archive Way Back Machine to find it again. Further searching to find a way to contact Damon to ask if I could host his project so it could more easily be found and used resulted in finding his obituary instead (after the email to him bounced back). According to the Way Back Machine the project hadn't been online on DamonFloyd.com since about 2005.
I am in no way trying to take credit for all the work Damon did to put this Index together and make it freely available to the genealogy community. I have tried to keep what he had intact and have only changed it to remove links that were broken. If anyone in his family objects or would like to contact me and have me take this down, I will gladly do so. It looked as if it may have existed at some point on the server space at Rootsweb, but that is currently unavailable as well.
If this were my work, and I was no longer able to make sure it stayed online to help others, and my family wasn't keeping it online, I would want my work preserved and not forgotten.
So, as a way to honor the work Damon Floyd put into this project, I am hosting it on server space I am paying for until such a time when someone tells me I can't for some reason. Thanks for all the work you put in to make this index available to those of us with Delaware County, Indiana ancestors searching for their burial information. You were an inspiration to me and this is the only way I can think of to pay it forward. Rest In Peace Damon Floyd, your work was not in vain and has not been forgotten or lost.
